on the road, gandja monteiro explored movement and the creative process, inspired and propelled by the energy of constant travel. her lens captured seven artists who started off as strangers, and seven cities - some of which she knew - seen in short bursts. using a collage of texts compiled from samina virani’s writings throughout the trip a voice over leads the film, dictating the flow of this narrative style documentary.
