“Echoes of the Self"
Through sound resonance, geometric patterns, and collective dew, a memory is awakened.
“In an extended temporal space,
the mirrors are everywhere.
You and me,
an echo thread of wonderland.
A resonance that directs itself
through another resonance.
Is one moment being completed in another?
Where does the echo begin? Where does it end?
Disappearing, reappearing.
Finding you
I am you.” - SV
In this experiment, between the tangible and the intangible, an imaginary discourse of geometric shapes and musical scores, 4 artists investigate resonance through different mediums, arriving at conclusions about “what is it that connects us? a memory? what if we stop remembering?”
12 people attended the salon, which involved a 1 hr 30 mins sound resonance experience, extracting collective humidity, and salt formations, shifting from the tangible to the intangible and back to the tangible again.
“Zhikr; Whirling in Remembrance”
Dancer, performance artist and whirling dervish, Narjès Kel guides the artists in discovering awareness, the awakening of breath and the opening up of space to remember, as a tool in the investigation of “the art of remembering.”
For nearly eight years, Narjès Kel has been deeply engaged in the practice of Sufi dance, which she sees as a path of spiritual elevation, a prayer in motion. Narjès transmits this sacred art with both rigor and gentleness. She guides each individual to enter the space of embodied gesture, to listen to their inner silence. An explorer of Consciousness and Movement, she now shares, with humility and profound insight, an art that is not simply learned—but received.

Exploring labyrinth spaces of the psyche’s memory through sensorial play, “The sensorial banquet” - was the initiation ceremony for the rabbit hole’s “the art of remembering” program held in Paris. 7 artists - strangers from different countries, met each other for the first time, through body and corporal communication and sensory awareness. The banquet employed techniques from Teatro de los Sentidos theatre company which builds experiences where participants can explore labyrinth spaces which, in the end, become an extension of their own psyches.
What has this got to do with memory?

“The Mirror of the Other”
Samina Virani
“When you gaze in the eye of the other,
At some point, the stillness begins,
The memory awakens,
That you are the other,
Is there an other?
Is a gaze a memory?
Is a memory a gaze?”
Inspired by the Buddhist Koan technique, the “Mirror of the Other” is a performative ritual, invoked with mystical poetry and a gazing into the eye of the other. Participants are first blindfolded, shifting inwards towards their being; and then awakening to the mirror of the other, where glimpses of the dissolution of the self, and the threads that both dissolve and connect us, become a journey beyond the definition of the self.
